Acoustical Solutions is an e-commerce business serving both commercial clients and individual shoppers. I joined on a six-month contract that extended to twelve months, starting as a Junior Front End Web Developer and picking up a Junior UI/UX Designer title along the way.
The site was inherited, not built from scratch, but it had real problems. The call-to-action buttons weren’t even clickable on mobile — a significant issue as the business shifted focus toward a broader e-commerce audience. I conducted a full mobile UI/UX analysis and pushed hard for a consistent, accessible experience across all devices.
The most impactful project was building out the layered navigation. Designing the faceted search to help customers drill down to exactly what they needed produced immediate results — online sales grew 10% in the first week after launch.
Beyond that, I spent considerable time standardizing code, cleaning up inconsistencies across the site and developing SEO-rich content through keyword research.
All screenshots reflect the site as it existed during my tenure. For all its flaws, the site was built around real products and felt authentic.
